Our Dance Classes to Suit You
Classes with us are friendly, fun, and energetic
LATIN & BALLROOM: As seen on Strictly Come Dancing, learn styles such as jive , samba, cha-cha, rhumba, salsa, waltz, quickstep, tango & many more. Learn as a solo dancer or with a dance partner.
SASSAPIRILLAS TEAM: A lively group of young jazz dancers performing choreographed routines for exciting events and shows across the country. Check out a short example of last year’s performers: Youtube video link.
BALLET: ballet acts as a foundation and underpins all styles. Ballet is a discipline it builds essential strength and muscles for dance.
TECHNIQUE: Using ballet techniques to learn sequences across the floor and tricks such as kicks, leaps and turns. A must for every aspiring dancer!
HIP-HOP & STREET DANCE: A variety of energetic styles rooted in self-expression, freestyle and urban culture. Styles include; house, Afro, hip hop, vogueing, wacking, popping/locking and many more.
CONTEMPORARY & LYRICAL: Contemporary dance blends fluid, expressive movements with technique and floor work, while lyrical dance emphasises storytelling through emotion and lyrics in music. A slower dance style to express yourself and incorporate those tricks you master in technique!
COMMERCIAL: Seen in music videos, concerts and stage performances. Sassy, fun and high energy routines to current upbeat music and some of your favourite pop artists.
JAZZ: Join us in our love for jazz where we blend musical theatre, fossy, and technical jazz in high end grey routines and drills.
About Us…
Meet Alice Lupton.
A professional dancer, teacher, choreographer and principal of AL Choreography.
Passion
My passion for dance began as a child, training in Latin and Ballroom and competing at juvenile and junior levels in Latin and Ballroom Formation Teams as British Champions. Like many dancers I spent most of my childhood dedicated to training in genres such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, commercial, tap and street dance, as well as competing or working towards achieving qualifications through exams at all levels.
Training
As my knowledge and love for body movement grew, creative expression and shape change deepened. So did my desire to become a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer. It was at college where I was first able to show case my choreography skills, consecutively winning choreography competitions in many different styles. By attending dance college, I successfully qualified as a dance teacher and professional dancer.
Experience
After graduating, I have worked with many choreographers across the globe. My professional experience as dancer has taken me from Manchester to Miami and well beyond. It has led me to secure performance contracts on board cruise ships including SAGA and Celebrity, and on TV, and in several UK theatres. More recently, I have been involved in projects for the Guinness book of Records, performed on Pantomime and for EuroVision.

Qualified dance instruction
Alice’s teaching qualifications, skills, experience and DBS credentials has enabled her to work with children and adults across many schools across the north of England including in Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Blackburn, Doncaster, Lancaster and Halifax. Alice has choreographed shows and competitive teams events in Street, Jazz, Latin and Contemporary all leading to amazing results and big wins!

Teaching style & educating the next generation
Evolving into a strong versatile dancer inspired Alice to launch AL Choreography. Her team develops unique choreography, fusing integrated techniques and styles. Students would describe Alice as a flexible, supportive, and a very approachable teacher. She believes the best results come from using a balanced, caring, and committed approach.
AL Choreography’s motto is to strive for excellence! The choreography groups have won many a competition using that unique approach.
Now, Alice is using her abilities and experience with her team at AL Choreography to help others enjoy the wonderful skill and value of dancing.
Dance reels.pro
Dance reels.pro is an additional service providing dancers with professional videos and reels to use for dance show reels. These improve their social media platforms as well as for future work and self-tapes. We understand what angles look best to suit the choreography to give you a forest look on camera and a beautiful Studio.

Workshops and Intensives
Workshops include warmup/cooldown but mainly focuses on choreography and routines taught at a faster pace so that you improve your picking up skills.
Intensives run as a full day usually in the holiday from 10am to early afternoon. Intensives include a range of different styles and classes with Alice and teachers in the dance industry.
These are a great way to make new friends, have fun and try new styles. Follow our social media to see updates for the next intensive.
Wedding and special occasion dances
Wow, your guest with a beautiful dance and create a memorable ball experience. We can bring your vision to life with a private session. Personalised wedding dances choreographed by Alice are available upon booking. Personalised bridal/groomsman dances to create a fun party atmosphere are also available.
Hire our dancers
If you’re looking for professional dance groups to perform at your event, book our groups for professional entertainment to create a fun buzzing atmosphere. Our commercial group are available for Bookings and have previously performed as backing dancers for a singer/rapper and also a media advert for a vintage store.
Commercial memberships
Take an opportunity to train with talented guest choreographers. If you’re looking for a space to express your creativity and work with other artists, then our memberships and courses may be just what you’re looking for. AL Choreography memberships provide a space for dancers preparing for dance college or wishing to access professional dance careers. We can also help you create a unique portfolio.

Our classes and memberships offer flexible learning, allowing a place to express unique gifts and talent. There is a wide variety of children’s classes across many styles, available for all different age and categories.
For those who are seeking out a new hobby or want to make friends and most importantly have fun, then check out our beginners courses and open classes across all styles.
All our classes are designed with the aim of building healthy self-esteem. You also have access to psychological and wellbeing support for all our dancers.
